Next summer’s UK University Sport Showcase at Loughborough University is set to be a standout event for student athletes, and it is only fitting that every participant will stay in the Elite Athlete Centre and Hotel (EAC), the specialist on campus accommodation hub designed for high performance sport.
This purpose-built venue sits at the heart of Loughborough University’s world class sporting environment and provides an ideal base for students throughout the Showcase week.
The EAC offers far more than a place to sleep.

Standard rooms provide a comfortable and practical base, furnished with a 7-foot twin bed.
Additional features include open storage for large kit bags, an ensuite bathroom, a 42-inch television, and high-speed Wi-Fi to support academic and sporting needs.

Shared Rooming Experience
Throughout the Showcase, each participant will share a twin room with another athlete.
Anyone attending with a friend or teammate can request to room together, creating a familiar and supportive environment throughout the duration of the Showcase.

Nutrition is a core part of the performance environment at the Elite Athlete Centre, with a food system built to support the physical demands of high-level training and competition.
Athletes are able to tailor their meals around their training load, whether fuelling for competition, accelerating recovery after intense sessions or supporting lighter training and rest days.
The Kitchen
The Kitchen, the hotel’s high performance restaurant, uses a menu divided into Fuel, Repair, Support and Protect.
From high-quality protein sources to support muscle repair to a full range of plant-based dishes for vegan and vegetarian athletes, every dietary requirement is well catered for.
Fuel for Performance
Food stations guide portion control in a practical, simple way, while ingredients chosen for maximum nutritional benefit appear throughout the daily offering.
